OK, I'm running 8.6 on my G3 upgraded PB 1400. Trying to get a newly acquired (albeit used) WaveLAN card running without success. Orinoco drivers will not install, and their readme file says that there is a known incompatibility w/ the 1400 that they are "working" on. Tried Airport drivers pe

Both sides of the SCSI chain need to be terminated... 500 series PBs don't provide termination power, so you'll need terminators (or termination power switched on at each peripheral if they have it, ZIP drives usually do) at the end of the chain and between the first drive and the 540. Naturally
