Could you use the Proxim in the G3 powerbooks? I
assume the Proxim (and the Enterasys) are 16-bit

The Enterasys I use is 16-bit, I think the Proxim is too.
The Enterasys drivers specifically support older Powerbooks and OS -
according to the driver ReadMe, "PowerBook 2400, 3400 or G3 running
System 7.6.1 or later (up to 9.0), PowerBook 1400 or 5300 running
System 7.5.3 or later (up to 9.0),

os10 drivers.. Works like a top.. I used it on a 1400, a Lombard, and now a

Trying to use CoolCam 2.3 but when I launch, it asks
for "QuickTimeLib-MakeImageDescriptionForEffect".
I searched 9.1 and 8.6 for this extension(?) and it
doesn't exist.

That's a library/API that's part of QuickTime. I'd suggest that you
don't have the version of QT that CoolCam requires. Try upgrading to
QT 5, and it should work alright... At least, I run QT 5 w/ CoolCam
and don't have any problems.
