I am wanting a faster modem (yes, I still use dial up) for my 540c. I have a rev. C card cage. I am looking at 56K modems with X-jacks (by 3Com). Are there drivers for Mac OS? Are there certain modems that will work? Any recommendations? -- __

It actually has nothing to do with RAM or processor speed (Panther installs fine with less than 128mb)... It's because the motherboard itself is not supported. It is a Nubus based computer (as opposed to PCI like the PowerBook 2400 and up). It has more in common with earlier Macs such as the Pow

OK, thanks you guys, I found a store that sells used computers and found a Pismo with a 12 GB HD and 1GB Ram and 500 MHz processor. I also know that there is an upgrade for G3 Laptops that upgrades it to a 900MHz processor. Say, buy the way, does tiger really not work on an upgraded process
