Does Pismo Powerbook and PC laptops use the same ram?

I'm trying to use a ide-cf adapter with a powerbook duo, a duo 210, with additional scsi-ide adapter, but it seems that i've some problems because the system doesn't find any hard drive connected! I've tried the ide-cf with a thinkpad and it works, but i would like to use it in my duo...

Reading a burned 700MB capacity CD R on a PowerBook 3400

Hi Andrea That is the same set up as I am using the dip switches i have checked for the adapter to be seen when it is connected to the ide drive is 4 and 5 you also need to select The master setting with jumpers on both the cf to ide adapter and the scsi adapter card, Then it should boot,

I've had very poor luck with 700MB disks in older CD-ROM drives of all sorts, so I wouldn't be too hopeful about the faster 3400 drives (all from the same era.) You might try even other different 700MB media with the slim chance that some 700MB media may be more compatible than those you've

7.5.3 on PB 1400

Does anyone know where I would get the system enabler to use system 7.5.3 on my PB 1400, I am pressed for cash and I have 8.1 on it right now, and would like to decrease the footprint of the OS for the moment. Thanks in advance for anyone's help.
