EMM source for PB5xx batteries?

Clearing shorted 5xx battery cells

I've got a non-functioning cell in one of my 5xx batteries, and have seen a couple of posts that mentioned clearing shorted cells. Can anyone give more specifics on how this is done? Do you have to cut open the battery to do it? TIA, Don Silver I also cleared a shorted cell by applying short

the connector was all it took to reseat things--didn't have to open up the PB at all. Cheers, Don Silver The screen sometimes is fine, but mostly there are big blocks or stripes or other gargage all over the screen. None of this shows up on an external monitor

One thing you could also try is disconnecting the keyboard, flipping it over and thoroughly spraying the underside with electrical contact cleaner. As far as I can tell this stuff evaporates without a trace and is meant to clean up the kind of goop that could munge up your keyboard. Cheers, Don
