Well that was probably the strangest thing I've ever had happen with a Mac - I opened it up, with battery removed and adapter disconnected. Everything inside looked great. Just for the heck of it, i plugged in the ac adapter. Nothing when i tried to start. UNplugged, sat for at least half a

Driver for X-Jack 10/100?

3Com makes an X-Jack 10/100 Ethernet card, 3CXFE574BT. No Mac driver that I could find. The -574- card is 16-bit, while the later -575-card is 32-bit, which may make the -574- card unique. Oh, I bought a 3Com WiFi/802.11b card with X-Jack antenna, 3CRWE62092A, but while it is in a PCMCIA

the same battery! You are talking about a 100 SERIES battery, NOT A PB100 battery which is a 6.5" x 4" x 0.5" lead acid battery for the PB 100. I don't think these batteries are worth rebuilding, unless they have gotten really expensive lately. Paul -- PowerBooks is spons

FYI, The other day I put one of these old batteries in an external Apple brand charger overnight. About 2:00 AM was woken by a loud CRACK, sounded like a rifle shot. Even set the dog off. The end of one of the cells had blown partially out cracking and expanding the plastics. I'm glad it wasn't
