wallstreet battery problem

Another question: I have a Wallstreet 233/513bsc. I bought this on ebay and when I got it the battery was recognized although it only held a charge for about a half hour. The green lights would light and indicate the battery was fully charged etc. Now it does not even recognize there is a battery

If the battery is more than two or three years old, it is probably toast. Fortunately, 1998 (Wallstreet) and 1999/2000 (Pismo-Lombard) batteries are back in new production. Chinese batteries are occasionally sold on eBay. BTC is apparently buying these, ubdoubtedly direct, and rebranding

My powerbook 140's battery has ceased to function... it only works when the battery is plugged in and the ac is plugged in i was told it was a 5A 125V fuse... i checked it and it went off the resistance scales so i will assume it is bad. would the fuse being bad cause said problem? i tested
