I think that that would be a little dangerous, and, anyways, why would you
want to do that? I'd think that mounting a small LED array around the logo
with the spacing so that it would diffuse properly and a mirrored backing to
keep from affecting the LCD backlight would be the best solution,

The Apple logo on the G3 was designed to show the logo so that it could
be correctly seen as being correct when the lid was closed. On the G4,
it was reversed so that others could see that, when in use, you were
using a Mac.

through.. You can make your Tangerine/Indigo/Lime/Graphite iBook glow
by opening your display (yikes! like 12 screws!) and removing this silly
sticker. Worked perfectly on mine.
