I have used VPC 2 with OS 8.1 on my PB 1400 with 64 megs of RAM.

Has anyone tried to run Virtual PC 1 or 2 on a 3400c with 9.1? Has
anyone been able to run Virtual PC 1 or 2 on any Mac OS?

Hi all,
I was just wondering if one could use say a PB 1400c/133 boosted to max RAM to
run Virtual PC to play old Sierra games that haven't been ported to MacOS (as
far as I know). I'm looking for a small platform to play games like space quest

I could not get VPC 4 to run on my 60 meg powerbook 1400; but 3.03a

incremental updates; they can be a little hard to find (at least they
were when Connectix still owned it), holler if you want help.

Yep, a wee slow on my 200Mhz 3400 but still very usable (though not for
everyday use). I guess that it's gonna be much faster on yours as it's a

A question for those who run Virtual PC on their machines.
After reading newsgroup postings I downloaded software called 98lite which
is said to allow you to use Win98 and swap its shell for the sleeker,
faster Win95 shell to help VPC run a bit faster.
If anyone has used this, could you tell me
Oh, and you may need to additionally d/l a fix for it if you are running
OS9. Won't run without it.

I'm interesting in buying a copy of Virtual PC 2.x for

least Windows 95 with it. Does anyone have a
copy they'd like to sell or can you suggest places
such as Lowend Mac where I might find it?

Hmmm... I thought VPC (2.0) was quite tolerably usable on my 6500/250.
Thought it crawled on my 5300/120. Not bad on my husband's iBook and I'm
going to try it on my TiBook.

I used to run VPC on a PowerBook 5300 with 64MB of ram (maximum). Windows
95 was tolerable so long as the app in use didn't require virtual memory. I
guess something about using an emulated disk to function as emulated virtual
memory just was too much to do quickly.
