I think Mike's graphical style would be your best bet. About the only
other way would be to create a shape object with the BackColor you want and
place it over the checkbox portion and control it's ZOrder in regards to
the checkbox. You'd then also need a second shape with the checked value.
Use graphic images instead of the check box and change them according to
click events?
In other words, roll your own checkbox.
