Hi All,
Wondering if anyone’s got a handle on how to collaborate within Pro Tools? In
terms of VoiceOver and the Avid Cloud. I get the concept. Just not getting the
mechanism on how to invite someone after finding a person and/or how to add
them to your contacts.

Some of the tracks were on "off solo safe". When I held the command
key and clicked they just became normal solo buttons. Or at least that
is what I understand anyway.
I'm still not able to solo or mute individual tracks.
I looked at the groups in case I could figure out something from
there. I m
Make a selection where you want the volume change to be. Separate and
make into a clip with command+E so you can come back to it in case you
need to. Now to bring down the volume the keyboard shortcut is
control+shift+down arrow. Clip gain is a pretty cool feature.

The digi03 is awesome to work wih plug-ins since everything gets
automatically mapped. You have to first select the channel and make
sure that the cursor is where you think it should be, hit insert on
the digi003, select the corresponding slot a-e and if you hit fader
flip you should see the faders

That was it. Very strange thing. Now getting out of that menu is odd

Yep, it defaults to infinity which explains why it threw me.

Where is the send volume exactly? I'm told it just comes up as a fader/knob.

Edit and Playback Timelines are linked. The only step I seemed to be
missing was hitting the enter key after inputting the numbers. Now it
works like a charm.

I have the ILok that was used for PT8 connected to the Mac. I can't figure

Make sure your edit cursor is on the track in question and the key
command is shift+R. I would interact with that track first to make
sure that your IO settings are correct.

All the Waves plugs I've tried are automapped. Some things you can't
get too as of yet because since as what was explained, they are not
automatable. Great example would be some of the stomps in the GTR
plug. Heck even the Waves Vocal plug-in is usable.

Perhaps I don't understand how to navigate through regions. If I have
one piece of audio and I cut something in the middle, do I now have
two separate regions?

I'm using the digi003 right now. I know this is logical but I think
I'm missing something. How do you select multiple tracks from the
boared? It only selects one at a time. So if I select 1 through four,
only track 4 shows up as selected in the track table.

I have link timeline with edit selection checked and I also have "edit
insertion follows scrub/shuttle" also checked. What I don't understand
is why when I select a different track on the c24, apparently it is
scrubbing visually but I cannot hear it. I can only hear when I choose
the first track. I
My school is currently using the C-24 control surface which looks a
whole lot like the digi003 times 3. Apart from reading the manual
which I intend to do, can anyone offer some tips/shortcuts or what has
been extremely useful.

I was just curious to hear from others who are using PT if VoiceOver
gets to chatty. Does it distract you or your clients? I was tossing
around the idea of using a BlueTooth headset just so I can hear
VoiceOver when I needed it nad not have my client being bombarded by
speech.
