Just for the record; I use PT 10 with Lion, not SL, but the procedure should be
the same to fix the issue anyway. :)
Thanks from John André, now a happy playlist selector user again... :)

Hi Slau,
Thanks a lot for looking into this, I use PT10 with SL and the instructions you
gave fixed the issue! :) I opened the session, selected the track, interacted
with the track in the edit window, pressed control up arrow several times,
closed the edit window with command W and opened the
Hi John,
Glad it worked out and hopefully it's the kind of fix that is easy enough to
implement soon.
Cheers,
Slau

Dare say you'll get to this one first dude, I'm not in front of PT
again for the next week or so. Keep us posted!

OK, I've tried a few things and it's hard to pinpoint exactly what's going on
because it's a combination of ghost images and screen redraws. Whatever the

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the suggestion, I suppose you mean I should control-command-click
the playlist menu, but since it is not there at all, I'm not sure what I can do
to make it show up again. Have I understood your suggestion correct? Is the
playlist selector the same as what I call the

Thanks for the suggestion, as you predicted the playlist selector shows up when
I create a new track. I'm sure you're right about the settings, and I wish
there was a way to set this track back to a condition where the playlist

Hello again Slau,
BTW, do you have a visual description/position of the menu that sets track
heights, in case I can get sighted help to fix this temporary?
Thanks a lot,

When the track heights are less than medium, it's an icon that appears to the
left of the track name in the main timeline area where the playlist selector
and record buttons are usually found.

Hi John,
I've looked into the track height issue a bit and I've come to realize that
Control-up or down arrow will change the height of a selected track (which is
something I wasn't aware of and, if I was, I must have forgotten). Thing is,
even when I change the height to its smallest, I can
Hi John,
Actually, I looked into it a little further and it's not quite as simple as I
thought. Here's the thing: When you use Control down arrow several times to
bring the track height to mini, for example, the playlist button appears to be
there but in actuality I'm not entirely sure that it
Hey Slau,
I'm not in front of PT to test this, but is closing and reopening the
edit window not enough to get that playlist selector back so that VO
can interact with it? I mean forcing it to close with Cmd-W and then

Hi John,
I've verified that the pop-up menu which includes options for track height is
currently invisible to VoiceOver. While there's a shortcut for adjusting
waveform height, there's no shortcut for track heights with the exception of
Control-Option-Command-down arrow but that fits all
Hi all,
I use the playlist feature of each track in PT10 a lot, and think it is a great
way to work with alternative takes and audio while editing. However, I have
experienced something new today; the playlist/takes menu I have always found
when interacting with a track in the edit window, is

Let us know how it works?
It works in pt 9.3.
YMMV
