Unless something is changing actively now as we have this conversation, I never
use avid link personally for managing my software and plug-ins. I do it
manually through the my.avid.com portal.

Hey everybody. I just started setting up my new M1 Mac from scratch. I
upgraded to ProTools studio but when I go into my products in my avid
account, there is no longer a list of downloadable installers, it says
you need to use avid link.

Yes, you can set up Avid Link to auto update plug-ins. Again, it's not terribly
accessible to do so but it's not impossible without sighted assistance. Level
of accessibility has changed over the years. I'm not sure if it's at all
possible right now without sighted assistanc
Hi, I thought that Avid link was also used to keep both Pro Tools and
plugins updated at their latest versions if you enter in your login
information into the program as I do or is this not true anymore as I am
one of those people who likes to have the latest version installed at
all times

Long time ago, I remember there was a discussion here about Avid Link, and some
people reported there was a problem when Avid Link was installed. Not sure if
that was only related to VO users, though. They recommended to deinstall Avid
Link, or at least remove the menu line extension for
