What about maxing out delay compensation? Or does that only kick in for mixing? With the exception of the MacMini 2012 and up the RAM on any mac where its not saldered to teh board is pretty accessible. But unless you know what you are doing you may want to take it to a certified apple repair

Hi, I just took my mac book pro late model 2011 and got it upgraded to 16 GB the maximum amount of ram so yes get the system upgraded to the maximum even if you have to spend a little more as I don't really need that much ram but I feel that this ram will get it's uses. Nick Gawronski On

If you are having pops and clicks in your audio raise the sample size of your buffer. So long as you aren’t trying to monitor through effects this shouldn’t affect anything. There was also a way to trash AAX plug ins so that it would force PT 10 to fall back to RTAS versions which were
