Hi
Volunteering in quality assurance in the last year and a half was an
interesting experience for me.
I encounter arrogance and aggression which I despise, and therefore
decided to quit volunteering.
Thank you for the opportunity given to me and good luck in the future.

Hi Rainer
I agree - Bugzilla is not the place for philosophical debates. We should
concentrate in real life usage issues and not in theoretical scenarios like
issue 124683.
I also agree that keyword needmoreinfo has limited effectiveness. From my
personal experience, many times information was

Another suggestion:
We should aim for smallest code base.
The smaller the code is, the better chances an update won't break anything.
This can be achieved by:
a. removal of non used features
b. making less used features available via extensions
c. one UI element per task (avoiding duplicates in UI)
Thanks Yuzhen!
Where to download?
IMHO we need
alpha feature freeze
beta feature freeze+fixing freeze
RC feature freeze+fixing freeze+testing freeze

The oldest version where the bug occurs is more meaningful than the version the
bug reporter used.
The bug history shows the bug reporters version.
More fields - more confusion.

Lack of basic respect to the person who took the time to report it.

Dear Rob
The 4.0 release was too ambitious - we should advance in smaller steps.
Nothing compares to general public testing - betas and release candidates
should not be avoided.
TestLink cases should be less comprehesive (in terms of feature coverage) and
more stress testing oriented.

Ed
There are three possiblities:
1- leave it unconfirmed - you and the next person trying to reproduce waste time
2- confirm when not a bug - a developer trying to fix wastes time
3- close when a bug - a future user reporting the already known bug wastes time
option 1 is the worst...

Yes.
please allow to share the following objections:
1. in general, bugs shouldn't be rated
2. most are crashes - "release blocker" can be other than crash - i.e. copy
chart from Calc into Writer results in chart area without curve. this is a huge
bug that doesn't involve a crash

Yes.
As long as we don't waste time implementing kindergarten user interfaces and
worrying about compatibility to propriety file formats.

Don't be naive.

I think the sidebar is the subject, so everything should originate from it.

I can understand voting for a new logo.
But voting for bugs?
A bug is a bug and needs to be fixed.
