If I remember correctly, this shell was previously registered, the V5
being sold on EBay, as far as I know this is illegal. It should be
possible to regain the original registration without the need for an
IVA test. The DVLA V765 form process would apply, see
Isn't it only illegal if you intend to deceive or commit fraud?

Hi Mathew
It is illegal and the prob was all tags and id was removed from the
shells. there is no reason to do so unless you intend to use those
V5's to register another vehicle which is highly illegal and you can
be convicted for this..

I understood that if you could prove the car/shell had previously been
registered then the V765 could be used, a lot of older Kit car clubs
have a V765 person who can inspect cars on behalf of the relevant
club, I have heard of several cars that have had thier original
registration number

Not sure about the gearboxes/ starter layout you use on the H4, but
don't forget the different starter position between black and silver

Hi,
Can you point me in the direction of the relevant law please? Having a heated

Hello,
A friends son has not bought a car 'cus of around 3k insurance premium on even
the smallest engine worthless set of 4 wheels. After a spill on a 125 I've kind
of convinced his dad to look at getting him a quantum in part due to the
insurance deal.

Hi Justin.
The seal is straight off the Fiesta.
You may be able to get a standard extrusion that does the job, but
I've still got the original Fiesta ones in mine after a lot of years.

I have to agree with Eddie; I very reluctantly sold my orignal 2+2
because it was not really suitable for car seats and I don't think my
H4 would be any better now. So Coupe would get my vote too!
Bye for now

Hi Geoff.
Although I agree with Eddie about the Coupe being better as a family
car, I originally built my 2+2 for the same reason as Paul.
A look at the 2+2 gallery on the Club website will show my car

trailer tent.

I certainly had a sticky throttle with the 2+2, with the XR2 engine,
but the cause was different: in this case the (pattern part) throttle
cable didn't like the 180 degree turn it had to make as it went
forward from the bulkhead, over the engine, and back to the carb. It
was wearing through the

Hi al when I checked with DVLA they advised me that I could not

no. I have neither for the blue one and only one item for the black
one. They also said they could not be registered as a car with a new

Hi Jon
You are correct but when certain things were mentioned on the phone he
hung up it took 2-3 weeks to get him talking again we just wanted the
shells out before they were disposed of I don't think Eddie was very
sure when we got there it was a bit rough and he could not understand
a word
MMM just get an MOT guy to type in the reg and all the other numbers
come up too!I think.
