Quick update, Adam was out in the Car last week, and when he got of
the motorway, he ealised it was making a horrible noise...
aended up geting it recovered, and the upshot is that investigation
has shown the timing belt tensioner has disintegrated. I've basically

The timing belt tensioner on my 2+2, fitted with a 1.8i DOHC engine
has disintegrated. I've therefore looking for a replacement if any one
has one, or any help with souring one (suppliers, other cars/engines
with same tensioner)

After having the brake master cylinder changed only a couple months
ago and costing fortunes, i'm pretty sure its going again? does anyone
know a possible reason that would cause the master cylinder to

Nothing that i can think of.
Why was it replace last time and what makes you think it's going again ?
If this is the one that cost you £350 i'd go back and make them replace it.

The brakes were so soft and i was barely getting anything from them. My
local garage told me that it was because there had been a brand new one put
on but not machined on properly so i had to get a new one. the brakes are
starting to feel the same again with the pressure changing randomly,

short of taking a sample to a lab which is likely to be prohibitively
expensive.
Might be worth inquiring if there has been any recent work to the
brakes though.
