Replaced brake drums (right had cracks on brake surface)
Replaced brake shoes
Bleeded the rear brakes
Both cylinder are less than 2 years ago replaced (17,5mm) incl. the copper rear
axle brakeline

I only use Super Unleaded E5
E10 kills your CV engine. It affects hoses, gaskets and even alu. incl. the
carburettor floaters.
You can buy special fuel hoses but the carb and its gaskets can still be a
problem

I had the same problem, opened the switch and found a piece of plastic that
had broken off.
After removing it the switch worked fine again.
You can open the switch at the back.
Cut away the 4 molten holding pins - flush with the back.

the edge but would be very risky.
Maybe experiment on an old window first.
I believe they do grind the holes through toughened glass for opening rear
windows etc.

It depends on which version coupe you have. If you have the early MK1 Fiesta
damper top with two fixing bolts plus the main tube then you need Escort MK3
lower arm. If you have the later MK2 Fiesta damper top with only the main tube
then you need Escort MK4 lower arm.

It seems I have “lost” my 2+2 and saloon building manuals (even the ones I
translated to Dutch)
can someone scan and mail me the page with the electric schematic regarding the
relays, diodes etc needed to operate the motor for the headlight flaps
I got the rear wiper motor going again –
only in case of . . . .
If the teeth are worn and you need to get through MOT you can spot-weld the
adjuster in a position that allows you to just get the drum over the brake
shoes.
Then adjust the handbrake so the mot handbrake and rear brake test goes ok.

The thorque problem can be solved by using the Fiesta 3 piece drive shaft axles
Fiesta MK1 sprint if I am correct.
The long drivesaft that causes the torque problems is divided in 2 shafts!! so
that the left and right driveshafts are the same length – with a support
bearing in the middle

the conversion myself.
But I know some day I’l have to do it. I just want to be prepared.
I would leave the fiesta brake reducers at the rear - it makes the conversion
faster and easyer.
