Thanks to Google's Android Font and the smart guy extracting the font,
now we have the perfect font for the radio. The DroidSansFallback.ttf
font is only 3MB in size and supports latin, japanese, traditional and
simplified chinese.
Download the system tar at the following link, extract and copy

Go to the Squeezebox Server webpage->
Settings button (lower right of screen)->
iTunes tab->
Check the box that says "Extract iTunes Artwork (Experimental)"->
Click "Apply"->
Report back if this helps.

Where is a definitive and full list of all of the fixes for 7.4.2?
I see this list, but there is not one word of alarms that everyone is
talking about (so why is it assumed that there are bugfixes regarding
alarms in this version):

Yes, both radios are on the same MySB.com account and both are listed on
the webpage as connected.
Both radios are running the latest Firmware updates and set to the same
time zone.
I have also reset both SB radios to factor defaults and started over.

Now will have to hope that the various alarm annoyances are resolved.

Go ahead and shut down (may have to remove power though)... it downloads
first before it performs install.
I've found this happens often on firmware upgrades - but, if you do
full turn-off, then turn-on before performing upgrade it works fine.

There are errors in 7.4.1 with regards to alarm stability. It has been
dealt with in 7.4.2. Forget about running a server just for the alarm.
Run it for other reasons.

Hi
Just got my squeezebox radio which i LOVE.
I've just got a question about album art. Before I go on let me tell
you my setup:
I've got my music on my QNAP NAS on \\qmultimedia\music\artist\album
I only use iTunes for ipod & pc access so my iTunes library is located
on my PC accessing the music
eap,
You are just way out in left (right?) field with this one. 99% of the
computers made in the last few years have energy settings that put them
into a hibernate mode after a few minutes of inactivity.
My iMac hibernates perfectly and when hibernating uses about 3W of
power. It takes only a

I hope people realize that they are basically advising people to buy or
re-purpose a computer to leave on 24X7 and spend $50-$200 a year in

It would almost be comical if it wasn't so asinine.

I use WEP 64, the key is you need to type in the passphrase as hex not
as a word. (like the previous poster says).
I also had to type in my network name I think the first time. (I can't
remember anymore).
I have absolutely no problem with WEP 64 and the Squeezebox. 100%
signal too!
