I don't expect anything. Just sharing my opinion/experience with other
customers and was prompted to do so when I saw at least one other
Canadian asking about the status of the battery pack in Canada.
Thanks for the feedback and I really do wish I could purchase the
battery pack soon.

I have a the Squeezebox radio, and the initial setup was quite straight
forwards.
I can listen to the radio and the music stored on my computer.
What I was trying to do today was to set up the remote access and the
image viewer.
I have enable SSH and tried to login but msexplore
The BBC seems to having problems with live stream today - look at the
forums for other posts. Fore me - outside the UK R4 sounded like it was
underwater on AAC but played OK on WMA.
Usually you can use either AAC or WMA depending on your location and
possibly signal strength and then stcik with i

It was set to allow WMA streams. I turned this off and could then play
'listen again' files.
However, I could only pay live streams if I turned WMA back on. Is that
how it's supposed to work? Seems a bit of an effort each time I want to
listen again...

Are you familiar with SSH ?
If you are you can enable remote login:
settings > advanced > Remote Login > Enable SSH
Radio is a small linux computer.
So log on with your favorite SSH client.
And edit the file /etc/hostname

Canadians are not permitted to order (or in this case "pre-order") the
batter

It shouldn't make much difference whether you are in the UK or not
except if your radio has low speed connections.
Use your PC to see if BBC iPlayer think you are outside the UK - you
can't play TV outside the UK.
Have you enabled WMA streams for the iPlayer applet ?

Yes I am in the UK - I was wondering if the radio somehow thinks I'm
elsewhere (the weather applet appeared to think I was in Germany).
I get full BBC menus for 'listen again' and I can play Live streams
through the applet.

It is unlikely the problems are related so deal with BBC one first.
Do you get full BBC menus which show all the "Listen Again" programs ?
Can you play Live streams through the applet ?

The simplest part of this will be your Apps.
When you setup the new Radio, tell it "I already have a MySB account",
enter that account email & password, you are done.
All of your existing Apps will now be usable on your new Radio.

In the past few days I have attempted to use both the BBC iplayer applet
and Napster on my radio (through MySB.com - I don't have squeezebox
server).
With the BBC, whenever I try to play a show from the past few days it
says the host has cancelled connection.
With Napster, I can't play any tunes
This is a picture of the device when off. After the picture I turned it
on and off again and the normal clock turned up.
No screen saver settings have been changed.
This is actualy not a picture of my Radio but of a friends. Mein shows
the same simptoms though.
