I want to play Z100 (owned by Clear Channel) on my set up. I am

Hey guys,
I bought my Squeezebox Radio a few months ago. At first it was
awesome, but lately I've been having issues galore with it and I wonder
if anyone has had the same issues:
1) Without rhyme or reason, the radio goes from playing to standby from
time to time. It always goes back to the
Re nr.2 do you use a local squeeboxserver too ?
If it connected to the local sbs it's not connected to mysqueezebox.com
even if it's registered there it will connect when you use it.

Thanks for the reply - I do use both, so that could be it. I always
assumed that if I was playing something other than from my local
network that it was coming from mysqueezebox.com, but it sounds like
that's not the case and I have to manually switch between the two. How
do I switch the player
My inbox this morning had an email with the subject Logitech wants your
honest opinion. The body said:
At Logitech, we're always striving to improve our products, so we'd
like to hear what you think about your Logitech® Squeezebox Radio.
Tell us what you like and what we can improve. Be honest.
I did try using the Switch to mysqueezebox.com menu option (which I
had to get to by adding it to the Home screen) on the player, but that
had no effect.

Thanks for the info. Does this include SBS only or your devices as well?
SBS doesn't try to force me to upgrade; only the Radios and Controllers
lock me into those screens with no way to get out.
My radio does not ask for updates from 7.4.2 if it's running off of my

That should do it.
When you select that does it say connecting to MySB?
Does it appear to be connected to MySB?
It doesn't appear to even attempt anything - just does that little
hiccup it does when you choose an invalid option or something that's
unavailable (like pressing play when something is already playing).
I'm still running 7.5 firmware and right now my Squeezebox Server is
not running at all, I

I restored the radio to factory settings and now everything is back to

I have a feeling that the radio does not deal very well with switching
between mysqueezebox.com and a Squeezebox Server. I'll just leave my

Tried disabling WMA playback, no luck.

Plays fine here, but I'm on XP.
RadioTime lists the stream type as: A non-standard external stream
type that may or may not work
So I have no idea what type of stream it is, nor is that info provided
anymore on the players. :(
If it was playing for you before through your NAS and now does
A SB Radio should have no problems switching between SBS and MySB.
Mine switches every time, SBS running or not.
Maybe MySB was having issues, dunno.

I should be able to play WMA as I have installed BPA's plugin to play
these types of streams??? Assuming thats the format for this radio
station. I suspect it is AAC which I thought Squeezecenter was able to
handle. So confused.

Hi all,
I have problems using Squeezebox Radio with WLAN. The link is
established, however the Radio tells me he get no IP and asks me if I
want to change the password (???!). If I provide the IP manually I'm
able to connect to mysqueezebox.com but the Radio want find the
internal SqueezeCenter.
To play WMA on Synology NAS, many of the Synology range of NAS (i.e.
those who do not use x86 processors) used to require a special version
of mplayer and a modified plugin as well as the NAS used a cut down
version of Linux.
First it is better to identify the stream format.

I can't use the URL probably the US issue.
Can you play the URL on a PC player such as WMP, Winamp, VLC or other
and then check properties of the stream when the stream is playing.

I can play this just fine in SbS running from my computer (windows XP)

Looks like it plays on sbs on a windows machine but not sbs on a linux

That sounds like it is an AAC streams which is being transcoded on SBS

To see if there is a non AAC stream try this version of the URL - the

Removig the AAC doesn't help. I cannot access it via SBS running on my

If the player can play AAC natively (i.e. a Radio or Touch) then the URL
which has AAC will play even mysb.com.
The problem is that on mysb.com the Internet Radio search (which is
driven by radioTime) seems to be set up so that it will never return an
