This happens to me on piCorePlayer if I experience a power outage and
piCorePlayer reboots before my router, thereby piCorePlayer cannot

Go with the WiFi to Ethernet dongle. Vonets working for me for over a
year now.
One annoyance with the Vonets is an extremely bright LCD light, but
popping open the case (its press fit) and covering the light on the
board with a small square of electrical tape works)

wlanpoke is effective, and has a lot of logging to help in investigation
of the problem to assist in a true fix, but unfortunately, a true fix,
as you noted, requires an updated wireless driver (not going to happen),
or a new-user created one (don't see that happening

Ive been using a Vonets for 3 of my 4 radios. The 4th I use as a
portable to take to the patio. Just tried wlanpoke, didnt work.
The positive is that after a reboot, when playing the connection is

I have a few radios. One I carry outdoors (the others I use Vonnets),
so I finally got around to installing wlanpoke. Working well so far
(thanks POMdev)
I like logging, so Im not disabling with -x.
I see the log file in /etc/log on the Radio, but Im confused with
whats described in the Manual:
The problem, for me, is interference from a neighbors WiFi and the WiFi
chip in the SB Radio. No issues with my SB Touch (different WiFi.
chip), and no prob with the SB Radio at a different location (vac home).
Chip cant be changed, so the only fix is to use the Ethernet
Port of the Radio, or a

The Vonets case is a simple press fit. Pop open, a tiny bit of black
electric tape over the LEDs, snap the case back together, and no more

Thanks for your work on wlanpoke.
I suspect that the wireless issue will not be able to be satisfactory
resolved as I think it is an issue with the old chip and not a software
issue, so an Ethernet connection (with or without the dongle) or
wlanpoke will be solution to the problem.

About a year ago, I suspected that a Google WiFi upgrade was the cause
of my disconnects.
I tried the newer GoogleWiFI, then Eeos, and finally an Asus nothing

Yes. Cant tape over the case as its the vent...

The VAP11G-300 also works well (but obviously, the N band is better)

My SB Radio will no longer turn on.
If I HOLD the power button, after about 30 seconds I get the Logitech
welcome screen and sometimes the Free Your Music screen (but no
further), but as soon as I let go of the power button, it goes off.

Did you try a factory reset of the Radio?
Yes, wireless. Didn't try a factory re-set.
I just set the logging for the Radio Alarm to debug per suggestion on
bugzilla, so that may hold some clues (...but my problem is now
intermittent -- Alarm went off this a.m.)
