Slight wobble with r9009 this morning. It's been working fine for the
last couple of days but today the alarm went off as normal (using the
natural sounds), one minute or so later it stopped and then restarted
again.
No big deal but it suggests that things still aren't 100% with this
firmware upd
Try a complete uninstall, clear any Logitech Squeeze products registry
settings, reboot and install again from scratch. That definitely
helped me.

I guess that pretty much debunks the "hardware overheating" theory
given out by Logitec Support recently.

Since Logitech made promising announcement of 9009 firmware, I decided
to try it one more time.
Uninstalled 7.4.2 and purged everything including all preferences
settings.
Installed the latest 7.5.2 nightly on the server.
The Radio found the r9009 firmware from the Squeezebox.com and I
updated.

Whatever update was pushed yesterday has royally screwed-up my box
(which was working fine before the update).
Before yesterday's update about the only issues I had were:
1. Random stopping of streaming afterwhile. (Happened rarely)
2. Random no-audio (would have to reboot to fix). (rare)

Same here! Using r9009 and msb.com.
Overall, it does seem less deranged than before, so I think 9009 is an
improvement. But having the
Ok, I applied the r9009 update yesterday. My alarm is working properly
for the first time in months today.
When I turned the alarm off (Natural Sounds) and switched to the radio,
it didn't stop playing after one minute and randomly go back to the
alarm.
Looking good so far. Looks like I'll stick

The problems I was having (radio turning off by itself; radio turning

Set alarm for this morning using a radio stream - worked.
Seems far more stable than 8837 so far. Time will tell.

Yep all my problems still there on 7.5.1 with MSB.com - I've never know
such crap firmware updates from a company. I thought Draytek were bad
with their firmware updates until I bought a SB Radio.
Anyone know where I can get 7.4.2 firmware from?

Thanks all. Forgot to mention that my problems (off, on, no clock, etc.,
etc.)are all with mysqueezebox.com ; the server software seems much
better. But, purchased the radio mostly for internet radio and
Pandora/slacker.
Guess I'll stay with 7.4.2 a bit longer.

I just wasted a whole week thinking that 7.5.2 is better. Logitech is
going backward with a lot of functions and is in fact a lot more
unstable. Internet radio connection disconnects very frequently.
Reverted back to 7.4.2 after a week of nightmere and everything is
stable again.
I guess it is
The issues with SBS were never significant (compared to those with
MSB.com).
The issues with MSB.com have not gone away. They're still there. People
have been using workarounds or have reverted to earlier firmware
versions.

Now that I have a battery I'm loving this thing. Since I run almost
exclusively on SBS, I've never had the major issues that kept this
forum busy for so long.
I did have a few gliches with 7.5.1 and down-graded to 7.5.0 and no
problems now. (But I can't even remember what those issues were).

Pretty sure it's still streaming audio - the router lights are doing
"continuous blinky" activity, as opposed to just the odd wink. But -
as I updated in my post - the unit does appear to properly go to sleep
after a few more minutes.
If that's a byproduct of the architecture, I suppose I could

I happily accepted an upgrade today, to 7.5.1 v900x (something in the
nine-thousands), if I remember correctly. I was hoping it would fix
the basic functionality of ON/OFF being broken when used without a
local server.

Zero problems with mine connected to 7.5.1 SBS.

I'm not seeing as many complaints about SBR on the board lately. Does
this mean that new firmware versions are solving the many problems
since 7.5.0.
I'm still on 7.4.2 and I haven't dared to update due to bad reports
from all the new releases. Please advise if you have seen big
improvements with
