Yesterday, 7.6.1 was pushed onto my SBR. Apparently, this issue is gone
now, as the radio didn't turn itself on at 7:01am as it did previously.

Awaiting the update... double checked on my Radio. Came home to find
the radio turned on, but in stop mode. WiFi icon was white as it
usually is. Most of the time, I find it on the clock screen but with
my selected wallpaper.
My main concerns are that it doesn't suddenly start randomly playing

Had a strange occurrence this morning. My alarm was set for 6.00 am but
I must have woken before the alarm went off and noticed that the radio
had turned itself on displaying my weather screensaver. At 6.00 the
alarm worked normally but failed to turn off after my 90 minute timeout
period. I am us
9468 was pushed to SB Radio/Touch/Controller yesterday evening and is up
and running fine on my Boxes!
Hmm... with 33011 alarm worked fine as always this morning on my Radio.

I got back to that previous version and these power ons stopped.
However, now it is constantly asking me if I want to update to the
latest version. Is there any way of preventing this? Apparently, there
is no "disable updates" option.

This is one the worst upgrade...
I love squeeze-family, but I think that the software is not so good as
the devices: slow and suck a lot of pc resources!
For common user with no software experience, I think that these devices
are not very easy. When you said

The squeezebox radio family does make me appreciate other high tech
products that just work.
I'm convinced that Logitech has 10% of the programmer time necessary to
support a product like this. I bet the people themselves aren't the
issue- the lack of them is.

I always turn off my router at the end of the day and when I turn it on
in the morning and the wifi is connected my two squeezebox radios and
my squeezebox touch turn on automatically. They turn on to the last
screen but there is no audio unless I press the play button. They

It's broken for a couple of weeks now. Can't believe that it takes so
long to fix it. Really annoying when it starts playing in the middle of
the night... Un-syncing solves it for the time being.

Same here: Radio goes from "The clock screen" to my last played radio
station, however on pause so that I don't here anything. This happens
apparently fully deterministically at 7:01:00 am. Not quite sure if
that is the time when my router gets a new IP address.

behavior where something in my squezesystem WOL my server as soon as i
try to turn it off, I've created bugs about it in the past but as it is
intermittent and random it hard to get anywhere with it ?

Same issue here as well. The first day after the update, I came home
and my SBR was playing music. Every day after that, it's just been on
without music.
The only other negative that I've noticed since the update is that it's
not as easy to turn off the alarm as the controls are less responsive
My Radio and the Controller from the Duet are powering up to a standby
screen: Controller on "stopped" of most recent playing source and Radio
powers up, then goes to the weather screensaver I have selected. I don't
seem to notice the Radio until the weather displays, but I assume it
first powers
Red Squeezebox Radio, synced with a Black Radio, a Boombox and a Duet.
No alarms set. Since the last firmware update it turns itself on late
at night when I am playing the Black Radio nice and soft while trying
to get to sleep. Since the Red Radio is in the bathroom, it is always
turned up LOUD so

I leave it in the clock stand-by mode.
It doesn't start playing anything, it turns itself on and to the
station it was last on, but the music is stopped (with the stop icon in
the corner).
It might be a sync issue

I just got the same problem. After upgrading my squeezebox server
