I think Radio's release was brought forward and so initial battery production in a separate factory may have been scheduled for the later date. During beta testing there was a shortage of batteries as it seems the factory was busy producing batteries for other vendors in time for Christmas. There

I just spoke with Logitech customer service and a helpful agent told me that the pack was on back order now. He further checked the "back order delivery list" to see if there was a delivery date. The battery/remote pack is not even on that list, so I suspect it will be a long time for us. -- s
