Hello,
I live in France and I encounter the same problem since yesterday
morning. The wifi connection is good but no radio works. There is no
problem on the servers?

I didn't say yesterday that while I was running the radio on LMS from my
PC, I could see the radio and control it from the LMS web interface.
This is while neither the controller nor the Android app could see the
radio, and neither the radio nor the controller could see or connect to
my wireless
Agree with bpa. Definitely set a fixed WiFi G channel (1 or 6 or 11),
don't use "auto". Also reboot (just unplug and plug back in) the router
once a month. A router is just a computer running very task specific
software. Reboots are necessary for any computer, every now and then.
:)
For me it seems that you are trying too much things at a time.
You said the Radio is connected to the network by cable now. That's
fine. So keep it like that until you succeed in connecting it with LMS.
But first, try connecting the Radio to mysqueezebox.com from the Radio's
menu and try playing
Thanks for the expertise offered - obviously much greater than mine.
I've now tried connecting with encryption switched off but still no
effect.
I tried manually connecting to my network name (SSID) with no
encryption, WPA and WPA2 (with encryption on), but nothing.
Encryption information is

Turning On/Off encryption is just a mouse click, nothing to re-setup on
any device.

Do you even have N devices? Is LMS computer on N or G? If LMS is on N
it might be on a different network than your Radio & Controller (which
can only be on G).

What is the make/model of the wireless router ? (just in case there is
something odd when working with SBs)

Connect to Wireless, I currently see the old SSID (but not the current
one), someone's wireless printer and 'I don't see my network' (plus

I have tried entering the network details manually a number of times but

Is there a tick mark again your old SSID ?

Can the b mode be turned off ? You only need g/n a/ac , that would
probably not solve the current problem . But b mode is known to make the
network much slower .
It is the same network ? No guest network active on the router or any
other such setting that isolates wifi from Ethernet ?
What IP
Router firewall should have nothing to do with connecting to WiFi, leave
that alone. Nor does having LMS running affect player connection to
WiFi.
Forget Controller for now, just get Radio connected manually.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
I'll try to comment on each.
1. The router does operate on 2.4Ghz (and 5 GHz)
2. I'm reluctant to turn off encryption until I've exhausted everything
else. I'm afraid I'll have to reset everything for all devices when I
switch it back on again.
3. I

That's true, but if the Radio indicates that there is no connection by
displaying the WiFi symbol in red it could also mean that there is no
connection to LMS although the WiFi connection is fine.
So in addition to
I'm no expert but I've no other network problems and the system was
working OK.
My router info tells me it operates on 5 & 2.4GHz with the same unique
network name and password and WPA2 encryption.
I've tried a factory reset but the controller just tells me it can't
connect to my network.

Maybe a problem with LMS on your PC? Did you restart your PC already?
Which OS? Does the LMS WebUI look ok? Did you check the LMS server.log
file?

Try turning off the router encryption - as a test.

Geoff,
have you tried an Ethernet connection to the Radio?
Another good app is Fing, this will give the IP addresses of your
network stuff

Ronnie,
Yes. I've reset the router but that doesn't work. I've tried the WiFi
Analyser you suggested (on my wireless Nexus) and everything looks good.
I don't understand the numbers but -30 - -40 dB must be OK. There's
nothing else locally that interferes or comes close. All the channels
Maybe barking up the wrong tree, but Squeezeboxen only work on 2.4GHz?
