Maybe it was just the extra distance and it wouldn't matter what kind of bars you had. If you want to be more upright, Albatross bars are a better bet than M-bars. I don't feel much/any more upright with them than with Dirt Drops, and miss the "drop" position on longer rides. Cheers, DE On Sat,

Yea..I tipped the angle down a bit more for a non-tweaked wrist and it seems to help but I only rode it about a mile. I don't notice discomfort unless I am riding more than about ten miles. I think I may use a more padded tape and I may try a shorter taller stem but then I'd have to change out

Agreed. However, I've heard that other builders have specified certain bottom brackets with early builds, then the final bike ends up different enough that the "correct" bottom bracket didn't work. (Sometimes what is specified from a Taiwan builder and what is built can be two different things.)

Beth, Mendocino is one of the nicest place to ride. You can start from Mendocino proper. Go out of town and go inland on Ukiah Comptche Road. Take that all the way to Comptche. Take Flynn Creek Road toward HWY 128. Come back to HWY 1 on HWY 128, then ride up the coast back up to Mendocino. $40 mi

I have not found that unprotected cork tape wears quickly. I've had the same cork tape out in rain, shine, and winter weather for 10 years and probably over 10k miles. It still has good grip, doesn't soak up water, hasn't cracked, and is still cushy. I've cleaned it a few times with some generic
