well two of those models (the lower priced bleriot and saluki) aren't
even offered by rivendell anymore (discontinued models) so maybe thats
why he's looking for them on craigslist. a 61cm bleriot with 650x32b
tires might work.

I understand
This post has absolutely no grounds in reality and I have little hope
of ever seeing it happen.
...anyway... I was reading an article a couple weeks back about how
poorly setup most police bicycles are. Bike cops spends 6+ hours a
day in the saddle and they have all needs of a typical Rivendell
Maybe not so far-fetched in some places - i remember the Virginia cops
driving Volvos back in the '80s. It would sure be tempting to a
(knowledgable) bike thief to see a cop on a Bombadil though.
It would be cool to see a dyno-powered set of police flashers on a bike.

A fun fantasy but I doubt Riv has the capacity or the ability to
provide bikes in enough bulk at a low enough price for a government
contract.
On an fun note, one summer i had a temp job working in an office that

I've been wearing my MUSA butternut shorts around the yard in the evenings as I
tend to watering, mowing etc. It's in the upper 90s to 100 here now, and they
are easily the most comfotable hot weather shorts I've tried. The Boosuckers

The MUSA knickers are great--I wore them for all of my riding for about two
years. But I have to say, now that I've been using Swobo knickers for the
last six months, I don't think I'd go back. I find the fit and comfort level
to be better, and they don't twist around my waist they way the MUSA
ONLY thing I would like in them is just a touch of Lycra, 1 or 2% just to
give them a little stretch.

Knickers are about the only MUSA product I don't have. Mainly because
when I was searching for them, Rivendell was out. Otherwise, am also
sold on the product line. Was bugging Grant this week about getting
some more seersucker shirts in so I can have another one for my trip
out to San Diego
including the first-ever Yves Gomez International Men's Mixte.
Check it out here, and have a good weekend.
