While I've been quiet in this group, I've been riding my Riv's quite a bit, which was my goal to dial in and stop tinkering with my Clem and Redwood. Those are set up perfectly now, and my other bike, a folding bike that doubles as a tandem/trail-a-bike setup, and I got rid of a beater bike. So,

Not especially, if I ride through mucky areas, I use my water bottle to spray them off once I arrive where I'm going to keep them "clean" or free of debris. Requires a bit more braking power or longer stopping time, but not huge. Rim brake pads don't suck up contamination like disc brake pads do a
