I'm glad everyone's run ins with the law haven't turned violent, and I'm
glad I've never gotten a ticket for just riding around. I've been pulled
over by a campus cop for running a stop sign, and I've had a cop
arbitrarily decide not to cite a motorist, when I ended up on the hood of
the car
I've been pulled over twice. Once was in the 70's when I was stationed in
Germany, for not having a bell on my bike - I went out the next day and
bought a Mickey Mouse bell, which I still have. The second time was on
campus in Santa Barbara - I had walked my bike down a sidewalk, got to

It was 10 years ago in college, I had gotten home from an evening run that
was very hot and warranted tossing my shirt along the bike path (still not

Aaron, I've gotta go with Justin. I'm generally pretty accommodating. The
first instance, mid-morning, no traffic, deep in a a suburban neighborhood,

Like Justin, I've receive 2 tickets for rolling through stop signs, in the
middle of suburbia. One was riding to daily class to CSUN in Northridge CA,
second one coming from a geo friends house, different neighborhood but same

Once by a rent-a-cop, once by a random stranger.
Long ago I did Wednesday night rides that left from UW-Milwaukee's student
union. One night I was at the
