I hope someone buys it. Preferably someone in the bay area so we can Jones
it up. I was very skeptical of the one size fits all frame size (I think
they have 2 sizes now) but my 24" frame fits my 80PBH fine and it handles
really well on technical terrain.

I think alot of Riv fans would like a Jones Plus. Long chainstays (48cm+),
Shallow seat angle (71 degrees), low bottom bracket (76-88mm BB drop), long
wheelbase (almost 1200cm) and the ability to run fat tires (up to 3").
Plus it's made of steel. All things that contribute to Rivendells
Agree that everyone needs a jones ;). But pictures and a better description
helps. Is this with the truss fork or regular fork? What color? I'm
assuming this is not the plus version? What tire sizes are on there now?
etc. I already have a Plus and don't need another one, but any potential
You guys are crazy. EVERYONE needs a Jones. And I say that with no intent of
irony or jest whatsoever.

Purchasing a bike on a basis of need, I agree, is not likely. I suppose anyone
interested enough to open the thread may well understand the appeal already or
develop interest that would lead them to do research, especially at this price
point. That's the way I go about things. For example, I
Andrew, it's pretty unlikely that anybody "needs" your Jones. Creation
of desire and impulse and feeding frenzy in your audience is helped
enormously by putting some effort into providing careful and detailed
photographs.
Or perhaps you don't *actually* want to sell, in which case,
Last chance befor I just ante up the money and buy a Riv. 51 JApp or
Hunqapillar as trade. Also any suggestion as to how not to incite a riot with
bike purchase, send them my way.

Yes I would hope to trade the bike if possible but a sale would work well
too. I typically post from a Chromebook at work without access to my
photos of the Jones. I am more than happy to email anyone with detailed
photos. I definitely appreciate the fairness of the group regarding
posting.
I am interested in pics and price

A post like this breaks no rules at all. Very very few posts ever get
deleted from this board. All people care about is that there is at least
some kind of Riv content, no matter how tangential. Trying to raise funds
to buy a Rivendell is totally Riv-content. I do encourage you to post a
