Chris, Which length bungee balls do you use? Seems the smallest I can find are the 6" variety. Like Zack I have used the Irish straps and they seem to work well...but the bungee cord idea seems like it would be a quick on and off set up. And like Zack the large saddle sack is where it's at. ~H

I have an SS Large on my main rig, but I have never lashed it down, it just rides freely on top of the rack. I use a Nitto QR with it, so it's really easy to take off if I want to. The only reason you need the rack there is for a little extra support for the bag.The bag doesn't sway at
