Yes the play is normal. I don't know the mechanics of all this, but I've heard
stories of people adjusting it too tight and breaking stuff in there. You want
it snug enough that the frame itself isn't actually moving around, but not
hurting your hand to close it.

My first Clem was the mustard yellow, a color I really love. But I didn’t
