You mean Doug's tank running over Steve's tank! John needs to brush
up on his high performance tank driving skills. Doug needs to
possibly beta his control system some more. Looks like some 802.11x
latency to me (or plain old operator error)! ;-)
Maybe I need to rethink this loaner thing!
Very well deserved !!

Thanks for the designation and all the cool write-up's.
Can I edit my tank site (designation site)?
If so, what user name / password?
Also, I have a machine shop in my basement.
If members need stuff built, I may be able to help.
Thanks!

Hi Neil,
Things are moving, slowly of course, but I guess that's the way of it.
The steel for the hull is sitting in my workshop, and my welder's in
the bin. Started welding up some test pieces and it just went 'Phut'
and when the smoke cleared, no more welder! Replacement is on the way
though.

I sent you a private email with that information. Did you receive it?

If this is the same Bill Hamilton from another one of the tank sights I
frequent, he builds and runs tanks just not in 1/6th scale (or maybe it is a

Is it possible to program a motor to operate at X speed when activated. And if
so could you adjust the rpm it runs on during operation? Would I need to build
a computer programmed control.
Ryan P.
You could program a programmable motor controller to do this, but you dont
program the motor itself. Electric motors only have one speed - flat out.
Varying the speed of an electric motor is done by turning the motor on/off many
times per second, this is what the motor controller does.
