Too busy building to write about it. Early parts of the build are quick, but
the later details slow down the apparent progress. Mike Mangus and I are in
a race to get the next designation number. I had a month head start, but Mike
works on his tank until 1AM. If he wants it that bad,
Oh, there's plenty of activity John. I'm in the work shop every night. More
shop time, less internet. That's a good thing.

I decided I was spending to much time with WOT and unloaded from my PC.
Started fleshing out a design for a T-70 light in my head and on the
computer. Trying to think of a way to do a TTS kit in laser-cut ply.
Starting to work on my Mogador warship again. Looking for a decent house to
buy
That show and tell is for the upcoming October boat battle in Statesboro. :)
What I am thinking is a tank battle scheduled for 2012 late spring or early
summer before the summer heat gets going, or sometime in the fall
(September'ish?) after the heat breaks. A few of us down here are
Personally Im just waiting to see if anyone wants to come to this
battle Ive organised,
What do you have to do to get in interest ?

Always comes down to where, when and how many locals will show up. If
only 1 or 2 locals battle, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have the
majority of people traveling in that direction.
For maximum attendance I'll throw out the suggestion of meeting
half-way, somewhere near the Virginia/NC
A multiday battle would help a bit too. :)

Over the past 10 years, we've always held multi-day events whenever we
knew that out-of-towners would definitely be attending with completed
vehicles.

Good policy. :)
Got to admit, if I had known about that I would have commited to the October
battle sooner. When the battle was annouced, I didn't even consider driving
11+ hours one-way for a single day battle. But then Bill said he was going and
I could hardly complain about a 11+
Well, I have to say that this is probably the most productive
discussion in months. And it all started from just a simple statement.
For myself, a southern battle would be fine, but would need advanced
notice of a few moths to arrange time off . Look forward to meeting
you both later this month.
