Definitely best practice to do so, in fact probably not safe as it’s wired now. I know some inverters won’t work at all with “neutral loops” and are sophisticated enough to feel it, and stop inversion until the electrician fixes it On Tue, Jul 30, 2024 at 5:48 AM Jason Szumlanski via RE-wrench

Chris Lots of variables here. Is this system on grid or off grid? 8 of those batteries wired in series / parallel would be about 30kWh gross capacity. 4 x 12Vnom x 300Ah x 2 sets. About 51.2 x 300 x 2 x 80% = 24.6kWh usable. What are the charge settings? Load profiles? Etc. Do you have acc

I’m wondering if the batteries are out of balance. You might need to charge 1 set alone or even individually to get them full and calibrated. I had someone with a different kilovault have similar issues which when we charged them individually took care of the problem. And guessing it will come

[RE-wrenches] Neutral run to critical loads sub-panel

If all the 120 VAC loads have their neutrals land in the main meter panel then there is no need to run a neutral from there to the sub panel, as long as the inverter does have a neutral connection back to the meter panel. Especially when the inverter goes off grid it needs that neutral connection
