At what stage does the panic occur, is it at boot up, idle time,
when certain applications/processes are running ?
The system boots and runs quite happily but about every two days at what
apepars to be idle time it panics. The server is a web server mail
gateway. It runs

What may cause named to stop working while still running?
Can I diagnose this problem any further with some other
tools/commands.

I reconfigured the dial up ppp onto the standard serial
port, established link and the same ping returned all
packets 0% packet loss.

ipop2 and ipop3 were commented out in inetd.conf so I uncommented and
restarted
When I try and read mail from the client the following message is in the
log file
ipop3d[]: refused connection from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
what have I done wrong?
