I have a Via C3 800 that I got for $199.00 (Walmart.com/Lindows.com) that is now
running Red Hat 8.0 with no problems.
Maybe you have some kind of hardware issue or a runaway process. Or if there is alot

I have a DVD-ROM and WinTV on RedHat 8. I did some googleing to find the proper apps
to get these devices going (xawtv and xine). Now let me just say that either xawtv and
xine suck, or I am a dumb azz. In all fairness these apps work, just not very well.

I use to use to Mandrake 8 and 9. The bash shell in Mandrake was setup to auto
complete commands with less fuss than RedHat 8.

However, I still have problems with applications like NTSYSV and what not.
A border line in NTSYSV (-) is displayed as â?q|â?â?
Like the man page problem, NTSYSV is only jacked up in SSH connections.
