First of all thanks ahead of time! I'm building a multiuser system that will
be home to many untrusted user accounts. They are being setup in
/home/username and I don't want them to be able to view any directory
structures below their home directory. How do I do this? For example a user
les in his /etc
directory and giving him the "simple" solution. I agree that ssh is the way
to go and that is what I use... The RPM is actually *REALLY* easy so I
totally recommend it.

Why don't you just login under a normal user account and then "su" to root?

I've seen many times where your root document directory's permissions are
not set for read. Check your permissions and I'm sure that will lead to a
solution.

Would Samba not be another solution all together? We use SAMBA running on an
SGI Origin 2000 farm here which allows our graphics team to access the image
database. They mount the SGI array as a network drive

Sorry to waste space on this list but I am in serious need of more Unix
Admins with either Linux or Sun experience (or both!). You would have to be

Standard E-Mail as in MS Office 97's Outlook. Has anyone used outlook with
sendmail as the server before? If so where there any problems?
If you are just going to be using standard e-mail then as per the above
there is absolutely no reason to use Exchange. You can set up Linux and
Sendmail
these problems, but I have yet to get
linux to see the 2940.
