I may be able to pick up some TK-820 mobiles and wondered if anyone
had converted one to full duplex.
The TKR-820 repeater is based on the TK-820, and it appears (on the
surface anyway) that the mobile units shouldn't be too hard to
convert to repeater service since they already have dual vco's

Use a circuit looking at the output of the primary - you will need a
radio to do this, it having sensed the primary on-line will inhibit the
ptt engagement of the secondary even though both rx are working fine.

Hello John:
Here are a couple of ideas.
(A) Real simple would be to have a different PL or DPL on the second repeater in case the main fails. Then just switch to a different PL on all the Radios.
(B) Since there are numerous things that could keep a repeater from functioning, a good idea would b
That would be a sort of tough one to do But i have done this with a set of
repeater of my own.
what I did was allow the MAIN repeater ( if power failed) is have battery
back up on the controller and uhf link radio
so when the power failed a rely would kick out on the 120v side and when not

We have a MTR 2000 Primary Repeater at one location. and we are
looking to put in a second backup repeater at another location. How
can we connect the two repeaters so if the primary one fails the
back-up one will automaticly go on.

Title: Zetron M 35 Patch
Anyone have an easy way to add an inline box that will automatically dial 9 through a pbx for an outside line on an interconnect, or specifically how to make a Zetron Model 35 do this? I am trying to avoid a user having to dial 9 for an outside line on an interconn

Did you measure the current in the circuit?
I just measured the PTT circuit current draw for a GE Exec II I
have here = 47 ma. I'd believe a 2N3904 transistor would do just
fine.
