This isn't a comm. site installation, just someone's home. So unless money
is of no consideration I'd stick with the Diamond. A comm
I cant see nay advantage in a commercial stick in those circumstance as long
as a decent seal tape is correctly wrapped over any fitting or joins to
avoid the wicking of H2o ( assuming the peformance is similar)

Joe,
You will be better off if you stay away from the
LMR400 type of coax due to the braid can rub against
the shield (dissimilar metals) and create noise in
your repeater system.
Yes, I would replace your coax run with Heliax cable
which is sometimes called hard line.
I use Andrew LDF4-50A 1/2"
Aside from all the reported LMR-400 problems I didn't see
mention about isolation issues. Two runs of LMR-400 next
to each other in a cable tray easily talk to each other. Long
adjacent or close spaced parallel feedline runs can easily
become problematic.

Really? Last time I looked at 9913 the foil shield coverage was 100%. If

Yep really... even rigid hardline has some coupling between
close spaced adjacent lines. LMR-400 is not really that bad when
compared to other flexible lines but one should always try to
consider practical cable/line spacing in various cable trays.
Just another thing to file away in the back of
Gentlemen,
I really appreciate all of your responses. They contain a wealth of
experience. I have studied and printed them for a reference. They
have provided me a long term plan.
As for the UHF Micor questions, I have two Micors modified with
everything working including ComSpec PL tone enco

One of my 900Mhz MSF's is driving me nuts!. Every once in awhile it
will shut the PA down. I have been thru the usual checks for excessive
drive, SWR, connectors etc. It is a 75W PA, I will set the output to
75W and then a few days later it will shut down. If I turn the power

Do you have the diagnostic meter panel? I mean the one with all the LEDS?
If not, you need to get one..

Howdy,
Has anyone ever seen an intermittent transmit issue with an MCS2000?
When I key up, it will key the transmitter for about one second then
drop and then key up again and drop and then key up again until I let
go of the PTT. I have tried using two differrent heads with the same
issue and I do
