Off topic? How so?
The controller is an ARCOM 210 and it does not
seem to be picking up the tones no matter what I try. The
controller
is brand new, and was purchased assembled and tested, so I
can only
assume that it is fully functional.
Sounds like to me Jeremy has clearly
Fist of all I would have not wasted my money a such a poorly
engineered controller, ARCOM RC-210).
Second of all if it is a new controller assembled and tested at the
factory then I would be contacting Ken Ark with ACOM and getting your
money back (GOOD LUCK!) or having him help you

Looking for db of isolation need for a 1.7mhz split repeater on the 6
meter band. If using split antennas what would be the vertical
seperation needed? Thanks.

How much transmit power Eric?
And for some opinions... what type of radio/repeater gear do
you plan on using? ... and why the 1.7 MHz split?
cheers,

Well regardless if wether 1.7mhz split in the 6 meter band is or is not
a national US band plan split it is an excepted split by the Kansas
State Repeater Cordinator as my repeater is cordinated on 52.850/51.150
by them and has been for over 2 years. Just getting it back on the air
at a new
split: 282 feet
vertical
separation, 18,905 feet horizontal.

like an idiot when the truth is
revealed. Again, I
base this on the fact that you are not disputing the
'problems' found,
and those were clearly created by yourself, not Ken
or Arcom.

Just curious how long ago you purchased you RC-210?
This will give me and idea of how long after I purched
my controller all these issues I had with this
controller got rectifyed. I not only had hardware
issues but had many software problems form a/d inputs
not working correctly to the hf remote
Ken For your information I payed for this controller
with a cashier check for $250 Which I still have a
receit of! I did not use Paypal and you made no

Hello Bob, so tell me what kind of buffering Op Apm
are you using in you controllers? I've used the LM324
quad opamps but I can still tell I my audio sound
different comming out of my HT than the repeater. I am
taking my audio directly off the discrimanator going
through a opamp with de-emphasis
Stay away from the Ringo's for Repeater use! This was
a poor choice of antenna! I would highly recomend
looking at the Dimmond products. I have had very good
luck using them on repeaters. Besides you get more
peformance form them than a Hustler g144-6.
73's and good luck!
