I've used several companies over the past 20+ years, and I've really only ever found one that I consider garbage. Some people like Jan, however. ;-> Bomar was the supplier to GE for several years. That's where they bought all their crystals for the MPI (as well as several other models, I'm sure).

Yes, use an extreme example and you will need the best solution available. It all depends what you are trying to do. For example, I have 3 low-level UHF mitrek repeaters all using West Crystals. These repeaters are not on inaccessible sites and they are easy to get to and in a mostly room temp
