I agree with Bob. Many like to put control links or split site repeater such as on 6 m and link in 430 MHz. I have found for upper part of 430 the 88s will often move down, but for lower part needs a 77, 406-420 MHz rig. This is for the rcvrs and xmtrs. 88s are all over the place. 77s

If they are 77 split mastr II's, it is likely to be difficult to retune up to the 440 band. But not impossible with modifications. far easier to tune an 88 split downwards. One item sometimes overlooked is the low pass filter in the output, which low split units might create problems.
