Its possible to use ssh tunnels to achieve this if I've understood the
docs correctly. Rivendell would then in theory connect to localhost on
3306 and the ssh tunnel would forward through to the other server.

I am trying to set up Icecast2 and darkice but I just can seem to get them to
work. Icecast loads up fine but when trying to load darkice I get the following:

wound up with a server using alsa darkice and icecast2. I was planning to
use rotter but created a logging system using mplayer.
In theory it should work with jack_auto but it didn't and I am convinced

I have to confess I abandoned Darkice as I had a lot of issues with it
glitching. Liquidsoap has lots more options and seemed a lot more stable...
although we were using an old vs of Darkice and I hear things have improved.
