Ran into some problems...
Fresh Debian10 on a pc where I used Debian8 with RD 2.19.3 The RD itself works
without issues, but:
CAED receives SegFault at the start, whenever there is a USB sound card
selected in rdalsaconfig(updated it compiling from git).
I enabled the integrated sound card, s

I will try and get a USB sound card plugged into with the latest 3.0.3 master
branch and see if I can reproduce the problem.

Try to use that card tough jackd instead directly in Rivendell and after rotate
the output as u need.

I was wondering if anyone has made any progress on this old thread. It
ended with no resolution so wanted to see if anyone was still banging on

As for our stations we are staying on version 2 for now because this issue
is a major problem in the production environment.

That's a very common sound device in radio broadcast gear. I've seen it
in Arrakis products as well.

In '/etc/rd.conf', find the [Alsa] section and try some different
values for 'PeriodQuantity=' (2 or 3) and
tried 48000 (this remained from before)
and 44100 same happened :(
In about 40 minute i will arive and start my night trying to figure this out
alsa i will spill here the asound.config

Ok,
So... ended up installing debian10 second time with same error so reverted to
debian9 for now and it works fine(its better than debian8 i had before)
So something must be be fishy with debian10 as any usb sound card fails (tried
2 types) but with internal cards works.
I will stay on debian9

Doesn't fail for me on Debian 10 with a usb soundcard, a Focusrite Scarlett.
