It's there a way to bulk adjust the normalization levels of the content
that has already been imported. I would like to adjust levels, but I don't
really want to re import the thousands of tracks I have.

Yeah, I was planning on getting a Blue Yeti, but the Scot in me came out
and I saw a no-name brand on Amazon that was a 1/4 of the price!
Yes you are correct this mic does not have a playback channel, so is
probably the reason rivendell does not see it automatically.

Yes I tried rdalsaconfig under root. Only my main card the M-audio shows,
but not the USB mic.
I'm thinking as this is not a "full" card only a recording device it
probably requires a manual add And I know ALSA sees the USB mic as
running arecord -l shows it as an available recording device.
I have an USB Microphone I'd like to use. How do I add a second sound input?
UNder RDAdmin--> Audio resources. I only see my M-Audio Delta410 listed
as card0, but no USB Mic on Card 1
Running arecord -l I see the USB Microphone listed:

card 0: M410

Hi,
I'm trying to get Jack audio working and I'm looking for a step by step
guide. I've done lots of searches but not found somewhere that seems
complete.
I'm starting jackd from RDAdmin->Manage Hosts->Jack Settings using the
command jackd -R -d alsa -d hw:0 -r 48000
if I do a ps -ax |grep jackd
That's it! Start and end markers were about 10 seconds apart. I looked at
the markers, but apparently did not notice the lack of length!
Thanks,
Andrew

I've noticed when voice tracking some tracks that are in the previous track
window don't show a waveform and when you hit play they are at the
beginning of the track not the end.
Other tracks are fine.
Is there something in rdlibrary that affects this? Or a known cause/fix for
this?
Thanks
Andrew
I know nothing about how to do it.. I just stumbled across the reference in
the Wii the other day :)

I just migrated my system onto a new server (I moved /var/snd and
backup/restore dB) and I am getting the following errors when trying to
configure PyPad to send the Now& Next track info to Icecast. Any idea what
I'm missing ?

Phil,
I've found the easiest way is to call a script from crontab. I *think*
there is also a way to do the same from RDCatch, but I've never tried it.
Here's a link to the wiki that should get you going.

On Sat,
Thanks Lorne for the tips. Yes, once I discovered envy24control things
started to make sense.
I was flying blind as to what was happening on the card using alsaconfig.
I like the idea of the startup profile, thanks for that.

The Delta 410 is line level input only ... it's not switchable doh!
Apparently I did not have enough coffee this morning to help work that out!
Thanks for the help,

Yes it's seeing it. And I have it configured for playing out on AirPlay and
LogEdit.
It's the inputs I can't seem to get working... but after installing
Envy24Control to look directly at the soundcard I think I possibly have a
bad input cable or something not right with the actual card ... more
I'm trying to get my m-audio delta410 configured properly so I can do voice
tracking etc.
I don't seem to be able to find an "idiots guide" online for setting this
card up. Any pointers?
TIA
