You can test it by running a cron job to generate the log when you're not
logged in.

Last night we updated a clock to insert a new feature. This work was completed

That was the fix! Thanks! I would have never thought of that. I
changed it to a simple %Y_%m_%d and it went thru just fine.
Thanks to Chris Howard for the same tip at almost the same time.
I sure I'll be back with more questions soon enough.

Ok, I know, beginner's questions are abounding but I'll get it there

I'm now running the machine as a test for a week or so before

You're right. Grids are used at the point of log generation. It doesn't matter
what you do to them after that, nothing will change until you generate again.

Hi,
Even within Windows (which I support on a daily basis), I have run into
a lot of issues where things just don't work as they should if a space

I have generated my first log with Rivendell. However, I only have 24
events (one per hour). What am I doing wrong?
I have the EXACT same issue as this person, who never found resolution:

The problem was I had assigned all the needed SQL privileges except CREATE
which somehow was missed.
I can now generate logs from network machines.
Thanks to Geoff Barkman for his reply.

I presume on your main machine generation works ok?
Is Rivendell running as the same user on your networked machine (not
linux user... Rivendell user). Is it generating for the same
service... eg "production" as the main server?
What happens if you view the Logmanager Grids... are they populated
