I found that usermode isn't listed as a requirement but is part of the
aman console command in /usr/local/bin. There were also a bunch of
directories I had to create in /var/aman.
Other than that I can't make sense of QT4 to figure out where it is
going wrong. It reads the mysql settings

I've managed to install aman (https://github.com/ElvishArtisan/aman)
from source on Debian Wheezy. Everything is running (rsyncd, amand
etc). As this is a test server, I've pulled the Rivendell database onto
these systems and a selection of /var/snd but I don't actually have the

Bit of a stupid response, but did you check all the details in
https://github.com/ElvishArtisan/aman/blob/master/INSTALL i've never used AMAN
fully myself so don't really know any more than that...
