First time starting it up, I get the appended.

I am running 64-bit SciLinux 5.4, and trying to install
the latest Sage (5.2).
The Sage install complains that it needs GLIB_2.7.
The 5.4 machine currently has 2.5.
Is going from GLIBC 2.5 to 2.7 on this machine
a reasonable thing to be able to expect to do?
If so, how?

Right now the only way I can make it available
via a web browser is to disable the firewall
(not, obviously, a long-term solution).
I have SELinux as permissive, and the following
as trusted services: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP & SSH.

I've tried several versions on SAGE on SciLinux 4.8 & 5.4,
and in no case did the 'make' succeed.
Anybody making this work?
Would love to know how.

One of my users wishes to access this remotely from his Mac OS laptop.
When he runs sage on his laptop, it tells him to open his browser
